Brow Lamination in Surrey, BC: Everything You Need to Know Before Your Appointment

If you’ve been waking up and spending ten minutes trying to brush your brows into place, brow lamination might be the most practical thing you do for yourself this year.

At Forever True Beauty Salon in Surrey, we field a lot of questions about brow lamination — usually from clients who’ve seen someone else’s brows and want to know how they got them so full and brushed-up. Here’s a straight answer to everything.

What Is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a chemical process that restructures the hairs in your eyebrows so they sit in a uniform, upward direction. Think of it as a perm for your brows. The hairs get lifted and set in place, giving the appearance of fuller, more defined brows — without any daily effort.

It’s not a tattoo. It’s not microblading. It doesn’t add pigment or draw anything on. It works entirely with the hair you already have, redirecting and setting it into a consistent shape.

How Long Does It Last?

Typically 4 to 6 weeks. Results fade gradually as your brow hairs grow and the chemical bonds relax naturally. Most clients come back every 5 weeks to maintain the look.

After the treatment, you’ll need to keep your brows dry for 24 hours — no washing your face over the brow area, no sweating at the gym, no steam. After that, maintenance is minimal. Brush them up each morning with a spoolie and you’re done.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Brow lamination works best if you have:

  • Naturally coarse or curly brow hairs that grow in different directions
  • Sparse-looking brows where the hairs are present but lie flat against the skin
  • One brow that grows differently from the other
  • Brows that never sit right no matter what product you use

It’s not the right treatment if your brows are very fine and thin (there’s not enough hair to restructure), or if your skin is irritated, sunburned, or actively breaking out near the brow area.

Can It Be Combined with Tinting?

Yes — and we often recommend pairing lamination with a henna brow tint or regular brow tint in the same visit. Tint adds colour depth to each hair, which makes laminated brows look even more defined and full. Our Brow Lamination + Tint + Wax package covers the full shaping treatment and is $110.

If you just want the tint without lamination, eyebrow tinting on its own is $25, or henna brow tint is $30.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

The full treatment takes around 45 minutes. We apply a lifting solution to the brows, set them in the upward position, then neutralize with a fixing solution to lock everything in place. If you’re adding tint, that goes on after. We finish with a nourishing oil to condition the hairs and leave them soft.

It doesn’t hurt. Most clients find it relaxing.

A Note About Aftercare

For the first 24 hours: keep your brows completely dry, avoid touching or rubbing them, and stay away from steam (saunas, hot showers that fog up the room). After that, treat them normally. A small amount of brow gel or clear mascara applied with a spoolie is all you need day-to-day.
